Jim and Barry leveraged their manufacturing, sales and marketing expertise to use E&C as a holding company for their latest venture into medical device manufacturing with Bio-Grid Systems. Bio-Grid is a multi-phased approach to use technology to reduce germs in medical settings and thus the transfer of communicable diseases or infections to patients -- a major challenge in the medical field today.
Bio-Grid features a patented anti-microbial ceiling system that allows for easy changes, equipment installations, lighting changes and opther customization without having to shutdown an operating room or surgical suite for full-blown construction. Mr. Connelly brings 29 years of experience in automotive component manufacturing, sales, marketing and distribution to E&C Manufacturing, a 60-year old company, has been a leader in the manufacturing of automotive process equipment (ie: Johns Mansville & Owens Corning) and engineering and has leveraged its precision engineering to launch production of high-tech medical ceiling systems and disinfecting systems for use in surgical suites, hospitals and other medical and laboratory facilities.
Mr. Connelly is a partner and co-owner with E&C Manufacturing founder and co-owner, Jim Paver. The company is operated out of Troy, Michigan with manufacturing operations in Taylor, Michigan.
A native to the Detroit area, Mr. Connelly was a co-owner of Techform Products Ltd and the Connelly Company, a highly awarded Automotive full service supplier and Manufacturer's Representative agency serving the OEM and tier market since 1964. Techform and its divisions were sold this year to global automotive company, Magna International. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Techform produced and Connelly Company sold Techform’s array of automotive parts including hinges, latches, and exterior moldings for a wide variety of OEM companies.

The company will leverage the “Bio-Grid” for its ceiling and “Bio-Grid Pure” brand names for the new room sterilization system that will be introduced to the marketplace later this year.
